It became immediately apparent when the public engagement was first envisioned, that there was a core requirement to shift the context of water from one of commodity to an agent of change. This Long Term Water Conservation Strategy provides the opportunity to create a new narrative for water, along with innovative ideas. To do this required approaching the topic of water with distinctly different lenses. Over the course of four Water Cafes we explored the relationship between water and culture, with a multicultural viewpoint, future planning, community design and what a 'blue region' could look like. The presentations below provide highlights of the information shared so as to give a taste of the approach the Water Cafes took.
